Ozogoche and Palmira Desert, Full Day Tour

During the day we visit the “Laguna de Ozogoche”, located at 3215 masl (10.547 feet). They belong to the lake complex of the Sangay National Park. The lagoons to visit are Magtayan and Cubillin, their waters are transparent; fanned by the wind that creates waves of singular enchantment. Ozogoche, a magical destination that offers peace, tranquility, pure air, and direct contact with nature.

Recommendations:
Equipment: It is recommended to bring waterproof clothing, hiking boots, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water, and snacks.
Acclimatization:It is important to acclimatize to the altitude before starting the ascent. It is recommended to spend at least one day in Baños de Agua Santa (1820 meters above sea level / 5971 feet) before starting the hike.
Physical condition:The ascent to Ozogoche and Palmira Desert is a demanding activity that requires good physical condition.

Itinerary

6:30 AM: Departure from Baños de Agua Santa.
First Church of Ecuador "La Balbanera":
9:30 AM: Visit to the first church of Ecuador "La Balbanera".
11:00 AM: Arrival at Ozogoche Lagoon.
12:00 PM: Observation tour of the lagoon's flora and fauna.
1:00 PM: Free time for photos and recreation.
2:00 PM: Lunch time.
3:45 PM: Arrival at the Palmira Desert.
3:50 PM: Observation tour of the desert landscape and rock formations.
4:20 PM: Free time for photos and recreation.
5:00 PM: Start the return to Baños de Agua Santa.
7:30 PM: Arrival in Baños de Agua Santa.
