The distance is approximately 180 km (around 3 to 4 hours by car or bus).

- By bus: Frequent departures from Terminal Quitumbe to Baños or Ambato (where connections can also be made).
- By private car: Take the Panamericana Sur (E35) highway to Ambato and then follow the Ambato-Baños road. The route is scenic and well-signposted.

From Guayaquil:

The distance is about 270 km (around 6 to 7 hours).

- By bus: You can take a direct bus from Guayaquil's Terminal Terrestre to Baños or make a stop in Ambato.
- By car: Drive through the Babahoyo-Ambato-Baños route. The journey traverses impressive Andean landscapes.

From Cuenca:

Approximately 300 km (around 6 to 7 hours).

- By bus: Services are available to Ambato or directly to Baños from Cuenca's terminal.
- By car: Follow the Cuenca-Riobamba-Ambato-Baños route. Although it's a long trip, the views of the Andes make it truly special.
